Statue of Marx at Arlington...

A Newt Gingrich aide is arguing building a mosque at Ground Zero (actually adding community center to an existing mosque not far from the site) is like building a statue of Karl Marx at Arlington National Cemetery. I don't understand how that would be offensive. Bizarre but not offensive.
